About Us

Who We are?

We are a multidisciplinary group of graduate and undergraduate students, visiting scholars, postdoctoral fellows, and Professor & C.E. Specialist Sam Sandoval doing research related to water resources management. We are the water management research group. Take a look at what we have done recently.

Mission

Our mission is to provide scientific, technical and practical solutions to water resources challenges. We accomplish this objective through research, outreach, teaching and very creative thinking. We do not only publish scientific materials, but also, we engage with the society through Cooperative Extension.

Vision

Our vision is to improve California’s water management through cooperation, shared vision and science based solutions. We are a researchers group that bridges science, society, environment and authorities during planning and decision making process. We are a group that focus in integrated water resources management (IWRM), we seek for water management policies that balance human and environmental water supply.

Please take a look at the balanced mixture of research and cooperative extension projects that we are working on. Also, take a look at the diverse series of publications. Our team focuses on applied research to solve water management problems through shared vision and quantitative analysis of strategies. This approach is taught in the recommended course.
